David James and Big River are back aboard the Wheatland Express! Often described as one of the most authentic Outlaw Country tribute shows touring today. Thousands of fans agree with those reviews, as they routinely sell-out shows in venues large and small across Canada and the U.S.

From the way James  holds his guitar to the way he talks to his audience, the legendary musicians live again when James steps to the mike and says, “Hello – I’m almost Johnny Cash.”

Passengers will board the train for a round-trip journey alive with the music of the great country icon. Breathe in the crisp, clean air, take in the expansive living skies as you explore each of our historic refurbished railcars. Out your window, view Saskatchewan’s vast mixed agriculture and diverse grasslands as you feel the rhythm of the train. 

Upon return to our departure point, passengers will disembark for the nearby local community hall for a fresh, locally inspired gourmet dinner prepared by our partner Chef de Partie. After delighting our taste buds, a full tribute concert will complete the experience.

Sample Tour Itinerary
One-hour before departure, passengers will check-in, complete pre-boarding screening and collecting their boarding passes.

2:00 PM – Train departs the station
3:00 PM – Arrival at the half-way point; Locomotive switches
3:30 PM – Train departs for the return journey
4:30 PM – Return to Station; De-train for the Wakaw Recreational Centre
5:00 PM – Dinner Service
6:30 PM – Performance Begins
8:00 PM – Approximate Conclusion
