Exciting news! Wheatland Express Train has partnered with Champêtre County and Manitou Springs Resort and Mineral Spa to provide you with a truly unforgettable experience from August 14th to 18th, 2023.
Your journey begins at Champêtre County, a western-themed destination showcasing one of Saskatchewan’s authentic hidden gems. Just imagine exploring the Lost Corral maze, strolling leisurely along their walking paths, petting the cuddly animals or participating in various lawn games. Cleanse your palate with locally sourced inspired meals. Get comfy and nod off to the spectacular sunset. After a restful night, you will wake up to the majestic sunrise before enjoying a delicious breakfast.
The next stop on your amazing journey is the Manitou Springs Resort and Mineral Spa overlooking little Manitou Lake. You will feel the ”home away from home” cozy and relaxing atmosphere as you pamper yourself in the warm therapeutic indoor mineral spa that boasts the highest mineral content in North America. Each couple will be given a $100 credit towards any meals at their Waters Edge Restaurant.
Your one-of-a-kind memorable experience continues the next day on the Wheatland Express Excursion Train for our Great Prairie Train Heist Excursion on Wednesday, August 16th, 2023. Larry Krause, our local artist will serenade you with his original songs before you head on the train just outside of Little Big Town, our Western Store Front. Time slows as you sit back and view the beautiful farm fields and watch the skies steadily unfolding to the rhythm of the train along the tracks. Our knowledgeable guides, heritage interpreter and immersive characters are on board to enhance the experience with world-class entertainment and tasty locally-inspired lunch provided for you. Explore the length of refurbished rail cars collected throughout North America, discovering their unique features and stories.
